Trodian Empire Sponsored Tournament - January 2009

here's my idea for this one.....

Similar to one i did a few months back where there are three different games each round.....

Game 1: TT Random, Min 9, Full deck, Closed
Game 2: Sphere Break
Game 3: Omni player 7

Best 2 out of three wins. If tied after 3, then replay game 3 until tie is broken.

Prizes:
4th: Laguna
3rd: Geddoe the Immortal
2nd: Aries
1st: Sayo

1 Espershiva
2 Y2trips
3 onedestinazn
4 Shooterjack
5 Mitsu

Sounds good for the most part, but how about memory instead of sphere break? Not many people (including myself) play sphere break (which is probably why it's going to be taken out in V3). Do you know what the prizes are going to be?

idk the prizes yet, i'll look at what we have in the bank.

The only reason i'm doing SB is because we did memory the last time... i'm trying to mix it up a bit.... plus i would like to have at least 1 tourny with SB in it before it's gone forever.

i might be there aswell, even tho i havent gotten to last tourneys D:
but i will try, i know i will get 1 loose on the SB nomatter what so i have to win TT and omni
btw.. Omni player 7...yey this tourney will become waaay to one sided -.-

I don't think this tourny favors stackers at all.

It is split pretty fairly:

Omni 7 - favors stackers
TT - The exact opposite of favoring stackers as it is Full deck
Spkere break - Favors those that are good with numbers.

I game pro stacker
1 game anti stacker
1 game meh

Very weak turn out this month.... i hope to see more of you on next months tourny.

Partially my fault though:

1. SB obviously = fail
2. Prizes wern't as good as in the past.

Next time we know where to improve.

If you give out an EC for first prize in one tournament, giving out a not-so-rare card as first and 2nd prizes in another tournament isn't going to attract nearly as much attention.

hey i actualy learned SB in that tourney,,, (or atleast the basics)
it aint so bad, even tho they all own me in it >_>

yet another tourny i missed..
Tho i'm not too good at Spherebreak so it was probably a good thing.
Certain people tend to dominate in Spherebreak and memory, wheres in card games with Random players tend to stand a better chance, even if they are competing against a high ranked player. i guess having SB or memory in the tourny would put me off xD
